*.* Sports Outreach on November 21 *.*

Thank God for the wonderful time and perfect weather we had on that day. We played soccer and captain's ball. We also had ten new friends who joined us. Those who can remember their names, please remember them in prayer!

Here are some photos our consistent photographer, Rogan took.

Hello Xteam!

Just wanted to talk about last sunday's sermon and how it blessed me. Well, the title was "Dealing with Distractions" and believe it or not, we are indeed distracted. The enemy is not a quitter. He will always try to make us distracted. Be it a person, thing or anything, he will distract us and it comes subtly. The enemy is not only a quitter but the he is also a transformer, he will try anything to lure us away from the work of the Lord. We always sidetrack on what is good rather than what is important and we are also prone to chasing what is good.

Personally, the last few weeks for me was very tough. There were lots of things racing in my mind. In a sense, I felt distracted with lots of things and that really dragged me down big time. But when i surrendered these "distractions" to God, I figured that life with God in it is beautiful and spectacular. It all starts with surrendering! Life is indeed successful when you surrender all this to Him.

Are you distracted today? Can I say that you have a God that is mightier than these distractions in life? Pray about it and surrender it to Him, you will be surprised with the end results.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Hebrews 12:1

"When God is at work even the enemies sit up and notice"

Have a good week ahead:)

Laborers needed for VIBE's Setup Team!

Hey X-Team, just like to share with you about a new area in VIBE to serve in, the Setup Team.

This is a newly formed team in the VIBE Ministry and faithful laborers are needed. The team have to be operational ready by January 2010's VIBE, and the remaining months of 2009 will be used to prepare the team.

The Setup Team's primarily task is the preparation for VIBE - setting up and cleaning the Sanctuary, washing the toilets - and cleaning up the place after each VIBE - reverting the Sanctuary back to a proper Sanctuary, etc.

It is physically exhausting to have the same people setting up, and then sweat themselves out serving in the kitchen or waitering and then back to the heavy duty work of reverting the VIBE's venue back to a Sanctuary.

Thus, the Setup Team is dedicated and designated to meet this need, and committed youths who are willing to get their hands dirty for the Lord (behind the scenes) are vital to the team!

I need a team of 6 young boys and 4 girls who are willing to do the following:
• Clearing of chairs from the Sanctuary the night before VIBE.
• Sweep and mop the Sanctuary when everything is removed before and after every VIBE.
• Washing the toilets in the morning.
• Furnish the venue with VIBE's tables, rags, etc early Saturday morning.
• Reverting the venue back into a Sanctuary after each VIBE.

I need servanted-hearted youths who are passionate and committed to serve in this area. Willingly, without complaints, get their hands dirty and themselves sweaty for the sake of the gospel. (See 1 Corinthians 9:23)

If you are burdened to serve Him in this team or have any inquires, do drop me a text message at 9277 4816.

Other notes:
As it is a physically demanding form of ministry, joining this team may require you to leave the other teams you're already in, so you may rest and recover from the fatigue gathered in the morning and be ready for the cleanup after VIBE.

*.* Just Use It! *.*

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
— Psalm 119:11

A Bible that is falling apart is usually the sign of a life that isn't. I like to see beat-up, marked-up Bibles that are coming apart, because that is a good sign.

I think there ought to be a Bible especially for preachersText Color, which I have mentioned to some of the people who publish them. I have told them, "Make a preacher's Bible. Give it a steel binding." After all, preachers really use the Bible. As we are speaking, we do things like shake it, hold it up, and point to it. Why do we do that, I don't really know.

But we believers shouldn't simply shake our Bibles or hold them up or point to them. We need to read God's Word and memorize it and hide it in our hearts. It is good to carry a Bible in a purse or briefcase, but the best place to hide the Word of God is in our hearts. As the psalmist said, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You" (Psalm 119:11).

Hide it in your heart. Know it. Then, when temptation comes, you can use God's Word to defend yourself. When opportunities come, you can use it to share the truth of the gospel with those who don't know Him. Remember that God has given us His Word to both deflect and to attack and strike blows for His kingdom.

God promises that His Word will not return void. Whether a person believes it or they don't, it won't return void. It will prosper in the place where God sends it. So use your Bible. Use it until it is falling apart!

God Bless,

Hanniel

*.* The incredible Hulk in us *.*

A really tragic story.

A Singaporean man has gone on trial charged with murdering his 23-month-old daughter in a fit of rage after he caught her playing with his cigarettes, court officials said Tuesday.

Sallehan Allaudin, 26, is accused of fatally beating his daughter Nikie in January ahead of her second birthday, causing her to die of a ruptured vein.

The Bible warns “Be ye angry, and sin not: …… Neither give place to the devil.”

Uncontrolled anger is highly explosive and destructive. When you can’t control anger, anger controls you. Like the incredible Hulk, you are transformed into a Monster of a man.

Only the Spirit is the solution. Only He can truly give us “anger management”.

Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh

Hey xteam(: Sport reveals your character easily, whether are you always complaining? are you bullying the younger one? are you a one-man show person? are you easily get frustated? are you encouraging or cursing and blaming others? all this can be observed when we play sport. So let us keep our testimony for God whenever we play k(: takkaires(:
