*.* Thanksgiving in trials ( A lesson i learned from Cambodia ) *.*

An amazing song . but to treat it just as a song would be dissapointing.
Having gone through a past 3 weeks of difficulties and struggles. This song really struck a contemplation in my heart. Yes i had my problems . it was tough, Yes it was heartbreaking. But i was reminded of Romans 8:28 " All things work together for good, to them that love God, To them who are called according to His purpose " . So we have no other reason but to be thankful to God for everything, even in the good times and bad =) This song shows how we should be reacting to our problems in life .
Trials are not by chance. Trials are God's molding and shaping of us, just as how beautiful pottery is formed, they have to be put through an intense fire before the masterpiece is completed. but we can be comforted that even through our intense fires, God our master potter is watching over us all the time ! The main reason why we are unhappy when trials come is not really because of the problem itself. It's because we refuse to let God work, thats why we are unhappy and miserable all the time. Singing this song reminds me of the story of Job, who though he lost everything, his family, his possesions and even his health, he found his all in all, his everything in God alone.
Job 1:21 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."
Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Co 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
So my dear brothers and sisters. personally speaking, i know its really hard but hey lets be happy and thankful when we are in trials ! Trials are allowed by God so that we may turn back to Him and cast our full dependance on Him, some trials are made bcos of our own foolishness and He gives us this trials for us to realize our sin and turn back to Him, and some trials are there so that through this trial we are molded more and more into His image. But Though we are in these trials we are never out of our Father's hand. He is always there, Catching us when we fall, picking us up and giving us grace and mercy and forgivness. And He will never put us through a trial which we cannot bear . What a wonderful God we have ! Instead of " looking at the bright side " , Let's look to God for everything ! His Grace is Sufficient for us !

*.* CCAB!!! *.*
Hey guys and gals!!!
Coming Saturday,16 Jan 2010, xteam gathering will be held at CCAB @Evans road, NUS North.
Time will be 3pm to 6pm. After that for those that are free, we can go for dinner together.
Prayer will be from 2pm to 3pm then will move on to the location.

*.* 1st Youth Worship 2010!!! *.*
Coming Friday there is NO youth worship
From now onwards, Combined Youth Worship will be held on Every First Saturday of the month from 4pm to 6pm... so see ya there(:
Second and third week is our xteam activities while fourth week is VIBE, so do try to invite ur new friends in(:

Dear x-team ,
I love you all and i dont want any of us to fall or stumble because of gossiping. The Lord has spoken to me concerning this topic and i thought it would be good to share what ive learned with all of you :) To God be the Glory
Gossiping, It is a commonly known word yet so greatly misunderstood
What is Gossiping?
Gossiping is simply any communication that hurts others. spreading false truth about someone or sharing information of a person/s to people who have no business about it.
Gossiping is in a way telling God, "God, you're not the only one who has the right to judge people, i have that right too". By Gossiping, we are judging that person. Which is totally wrong my brothers and sisters, Only God has the right to judge , we have no right to because we ourselves we have faults .
Romans 14:10 " But why doest thou judge thy brother ? or why doest thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ. "
In matthew 7:3 it says " And why beholdest thou the speck in your brother's eye, but considereth not the plank that is in thine own eye" The speck in your brother's eyes and the plank in ours represents that we cant go around gossiping about others because we ourselves are not perfect and have also done wrong.
Get what i am saying ?Is Gossiping wrong?

Ephesians 4:29 NIV " Do not let any un-wholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only that what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen . "
God tells us to exhort one another and to encourage each other with our words not to let any un-wholesome talk out from our mouth.So my brothers and sisters in Christ , lets stop talking bad about another, i know its very tempting. believe me i've done this before. but ultimately there is no gain in this. and we are not loving our brother by doing this. when we gossip about someone, we are hating that someone. its either you love or you hate. there is no in between . so my dear brothers and sisters Let us put aside all unloving talk and love one another just as Christ loves us.
1 John 4: 7,8 " Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love "
1 John 4: 20,21 " If a man say I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar for he that loveth not his brother whom he can see, how can he love God whom he cannot see ? And this commandment we have from Him that he who loveth God love his brother also. "
1 Corinthians 13 : 1-3 ( NLT )" If i could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didnt love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal." 2 " If i had the gift if prophecy and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didnt love others. I would be nothing." 3 " If i gave everything i have to the poor and even sacrificed my own body, But if i didnt love others, I would have gained nothing. "
With God's help we can overcome the influence of this deadly sin ! as this new year starts, let us start it off right with God, let us love others more and more each day :) Hope this blesses you. Take care and God bless.
